NIGHTWALK IN THE CHINESE GARDEN by Stan Lai

A collaboration between The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens and the CalArts Center for New Performance, Nightwalk in the Chinese Garden is a site-specific, immersive theater piece which weaves the world of the ancient Chinese opera The Peony Pavilion together with an enchanted Western garden. As Lai examines the line between dream and memory, he questions the depths of love and the barriers it can overcome.

A work-in-progress which will see its world premiere in Spring 2017.
