Somewhere in Upstate New York, a chaotic family on the brink of despair finds itself stuck in a snowstorm and missing their patriarch. In this dark exploration of family dynamics and drug addiction, upsTate digs into what moves us forward and what holds us back. upsTate is a multi-media piece mixing film and live-action theatre.
The first workshop of the play premiered at the New American Theatre in Los Angeles in August 2019,
and received a subsequent production at New York Theatre Festival's Winterfest in February 2020.
